“A leader can’t lead if they don’t know where they are going”

As project managers it is our job to lead initiatives of varying sizes from small to large. To do so, we must determine the direction and guide our teams using requirements from our sponsors. In this presentation we will look at methods for validating established requirements or, in other cases, how to assist the sponsor in refining the requirements sufficiently to assist in achieving a successful project. The end goal: develop a roadmap towards success!

Speaker: Andrew A. Smith, Program Manager, Commonwealth Office of Technology

For over 25 years, Andrew has been involved in delivering solutions for a variety of companies in several industries. Although the bulk of the projects in Andrew’s past revolve around technology, he has also managed operations projects in international company integration, facilities, and finance. Currently Andrew is the Program Manager for the IT Infrastructure Initiative at the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is responsible for executing the executive order to integrate the executive branch of state government into the current centralized technology branch of the Commonwealth.
